The musical adaptation, The Lion King arrived in the theater world with a distinctive approach; many state that The Lion King, since its debut, had utilized new elements that were unusual in old theater and become more than just your typical play. With its usage and combination of dance, costume, and mainly 3D puppetry, the musical became a very unique show matching up to to many previous and future musicals. Since the narrative of The Lion King focuses on animals, mainly the future King Simba and lighthearted turned courageous life story, the most difficult task for the creative team was to make sure their adaptation paid homage to the original without looking inauthentic.
